The installation was conceived as an interactive light and shadow art piece powered by a generator, inviting people to actively participate through simple, intuitive actions. Its core concept is to demonstrate that even a tiny pulse of light can empower others and contribute to a shared sense of hope. The project was launched on the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year, symbolizing the moment when darkness reaches its extreme and a new cycle of light begins.
The project's location carries strong social significance: a densely populated central transportation hub where thousands of life stories converge daily. The artistic concept is inspired by the phenomenon of natural light refraction. A custom system combining glass filters, laser optics, motion mechanics, and specially developed software continuously generates ever-changing compositions of light and shadow. Each visual state is unique and cannot be fully reproduced, reflecting the unique experience of each individual moving through the space.
Interactivity is a core element of this project. Visitors can choose a color and leave their own luminous imprint on the facade through a digital interface, becoming co-creators of the artwork. The experience is extended through an additional indoor holographic installation and parallel online digital activities, allowing participation to transcend the limitations of the physical venue.
This project demonstrates how light art can function as a tool for emotional connection and social support. By combining customized technology, symbolic time points, and public interaction, it transforms an urban landmark into a platform for shared expression, reinforcing the belief that even in the darkest moments, collective light will ultimately converge and emerge.
